Text Analysis and Extracting Document Characters Statistics

I need Some Help To Implement a Program That Can Do The Following:

1- Read Text File:

kjhg gjhg ghwlifanlkewq flkylkqr dlkfhwelktf jfhehrlknf efhlehflk jhelkjhewlhg

2- Calculate the number of having (x) char Like:

(a) 15 Times
(b) 5 Times
(c) 11 Times
...
...

3- Calculate the number of having (x,y) chars Like:

(ab) 4 Times and (ba) 2 Times
(ac) 2 Times and (ca) 0 Times
...
...

4- Calculate the number of having (x,y,z) chars Like:

(abc) 1 Time and (acb) 0 Times and (bac) 0 Times and (bca) 0 Times and (cab) 0 Times and (cba) 0 Times.

and only for three chars.
i need help on it.
