Urgent.....help Needed For File Content Display..............

Hi,
Am new to MFC programming.Please help me with the following problem.I want to select a file that is displayed in an edit control and when i click a button,the contents of that file should be displayed.I use Open() function to open a file..The file opens,but how to view its contents?
I dont want the file contents to be displayed in a rich edit control or in a window etc..I want the file to be opened with its contents as it is.That is when i click a word document it should open in MS WORD application format..If i open a HTML file then it should be displayed as it is.Please tell me what can be done.Am worried and don know how to proceed further.Any kind of help will be appreciated.Waiiting for the reply............
