Image in browser not resizing!

I have an asp.net project that shows large images in IE6, and I'm
currently running the app on localhost. These images do not resize
automatically and there is no resize icon. When I navigate to other
websites, the large images do resize automatically and the resize icon
is visible. Is there something in the config of my website that stops
the resizing bahaviour?
