page reloading

hi,
I have set up a chat forum that loads within the website when a user logs in. However, this chat page loads everytime a user is brought to the welcome page. Is there any asp code that can be used in order to check that this chat page is loaded, and if it is, that it won't reload again?

I was going to suggest session or application -level variables. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do though, so as CroCrew suggests, please either post the code or explain what is going on in more detail.
