Visual.NET Web Development Startup Error - ASP.NET 1.1

Hi

When starting a new Web Project for the first time in Visual Studio . NET,
the following error appears:-
"current web server is not running ASP.NET 1.1"

Need advise how to solve this

In order to prevent hackers from taking over a server, most servers have all their services disabled by default except for plain HTML files. You will need to go in to your server management system (are you using IIS?) and turn on ASP.NET 1.1. If you give me more info on your system and server I might be able to tell you how to do that. What OS are you using (Windows XP, Server 2003, etc), what server software are you using (IIS, apache, etc), and what version of the server?
