Tomcat Error

My web application works well if i deploy it in to Tomcat/webapp/ROOT directory, but if i deploy it directly in to Tomcat/webapp im getting the 404 error, can any help me come out of this problem?

Hi there,

Error 404 refers to "Page not found", check your deployment path once again. Good luck & take care.
