Reducing a number field by 1 when check box is ticked

I am making an access database to do with book sales and have to have the field that states the 'total stock in store' reduce by one when the check box of 'order status' is ticked. How do I link the check box to the number field so it will reduce it's total automatically when I tick the tick box?

I think you should not let the form edit your number field directly.
better you can use a form to create a new record on new table each time you tick that box which have volume -1 in the same name number field. that's my idea.
