How to check available dates and times on a certain tour

I'm doing a school project on access and although I've used it before I'm no expert on it. The project is for an amateur theatre company. I've done the basic requirements for the database which include adding performers, editing and being able to create a tour and add to bookings to this tour. But I need to be able to make sure that only 2 productions happen a day on a certain tour and that only 10 happen in a week. I'm pretty sure that I have to do something on the booking form to make sure that a client doesn't book on a date that already has 2 performances ; one in the afternoon and one in the night or a week that already has 10 performances booked.

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks

Elliot,

The "generic" answer is that any time someone tries to add a booking, query the DB to check 1) does this date already have an afternoon and night performance? and 2) does this week already have 10 performances?

Without knowing more about your data structure and tables, I can't give you anything more specific.
