How to automatically update data from a table1 after changing data from table2

1
Hi, I'm new to Microsoft Access so I'm not too sure if I can do this but as the title states, How do I make it so that table 1 automatically updates after changing table 2?

For example,
Table 1 has a list of students who live in area x,y and z and table 2 has the total number of students who live in area x,y and z.

How do I make it so that if I change a student's location from area x to area y in table 1, table 2 will have total number of students in area x to -1 and total number of students in area y to +1?

Thanks in advance.

The correct thing to do is not even have table 2 and use a query instead that calculates on the fly.
