i have a question in regards to Access. I have a database that list only the persons initials. I would like to have my query come back with the person's full name. How do i build a query to do this. I understand that i will need to create another table so Access can get this information. But i don't know how to create a query that would combine the two tables. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've posted this in the Insights section, instead of in the Answers forum itself.

I have moved it for you and bumped it.

re: Access Tables

If you select a table in your database window then click on the button for new objects in your Database toolbar (You will need to drop down the available options and select New Query).

This will give you a wizard to work from.

re: Access Tables

While NeoPa's instructions are dead on as far as creating a query, why do you want to have a separate table to hold the full name, and how are you planning to handle the initials MM when they can mean either Mickey Mouse and Mary McCarthy?

Perhaps a little more explanation of your requirements here would help us help you.
