I have been given a task to migrate MS access from access97 to access 2000

Can anyone please tell me if there are any steps I can follow or any link with information on how i do this.
I posted this question in other forums never got a reply.

Also how can I or is it possible to use VB 8 to do this?(was a sugesstion to use VB 8, but have no further info)

Thanks

Allen Browne has an excellent article that discusses many of the issues in uograding from Access 97 to later versions:

I feel I have to tell you, however, that Access 2000 is considered by most people to be the buggiest/most unstable version. If possible, moving to version 2003 would be much better.

And, no, the "flavor" of VB that is used with any version of Access is VBA, Visual Basic for Applications, not a "straight" version of Visual Basic such as VB8.
