In a MsAccess 2002 mdb (when used in 2003 and 2007 too)
2 command buttons of 1 form (with 4 buttons in total) dissapear
when I open a second form and then I come back to it.

Anybody can give some help?

???????

re: Command Buttons disappearing

Weird...

I've had objects disappear when working with tab controls and then switching.. or having objects show through tabs.
I'd try two things:

first, do a compact/repair.. that usually fixes strange bugs like that for me.

If you've already done that, then maybe check some event scripts on the other forms that might be causing the visible properties on the buttons to be set to false?

re: Command Buttons disappearing

I have found Access 2002 to be very buggy (2000, 2003, XP versions have been more stable). Haven't played with 2007 much.

Just some thoughts:
Have you tried migrating the app to version 2003?
Are they true command buttons or clickable objects representing buttons?
What is the default visible value for the buttons? Do they rely on other processes to be be visible?
Sometimes a developer uses objects to hide other objects - is there an object or contol covering the buttons.
Do the buttons display images vice a caption?

And to add to jax's questions, do you have any of these buttons sitting on top of a rectangle for cosmetic purposes? I've done that and had to use the "Bring to the front" option to get them to always show. This was in ACC2000.

"I have found Access 2002 to be very buggy (2000, 2003, XP versions have been more stable)."

Jax apparently has already started celebrating the New Year! Access 2002 and Access XP are one and the same! And by every account I've ever read, ACC2000 is the buggiest of the buggy! Of course, the jury is still out on 2007! You have to give Micro$oft a break until the SP1 is installed most places and then see how it does!

re: Command Buttons disappearing

It not depends on the rectangle (the other buttons are over it and don't disappear).
I begin to beleive it could be a virus(???????).

I'll update you on this strange novel anyway.

thanks and Happy New Year everybody.
