Access 2007 Client

Hi all

This must have been covered already, but Google (or my use thereof) is
failing me!

We have a company database originally created in Access 2000.
The backend is located on a Win2003 server.
The front end is on clients running Office 2003.

The obvious question is.... will this front end work on a client running
Office 2007 Pro without causing any backend issues?
Anyone got links to compatibility issues with Access - the MS site doesn't
seem to cover our setup although it must be very common.

Thanks in anticipation

Phil

Thanks Allen, but these do not seem to address the split database issue.
If a user has Access 2007 installed on a client, can he co-exist with other
users on Access 2003 with all users interogating the same backend Access
2000 database? It shouldn't matter if changes are made to his local front
end - this contains a few tables, all reports and queries and a fair number
of links to the backend tables.

TIA

Phil

re: Access 2007 Client

It's okay to have front ends that are different versions of Access all using
the same back end in a split database.

There are other issues here (as indicated), but the issue you are concerned
about is not an issue.

Thanks Allen, my primary concern was to ensure that no changes would be made
to the back-end by linking to an Access2007 front end.
