Hey all,

I have many reports in the form of graphs in my database (Access 2002) that can be altered using the options on the forms. I looked on the MSOffice site and they give a really complicated way to export reports to say Excel or PowerPoint. I was wondering is there an easier way, or a way to automate this process?

Since it requires people to go into the workings of the DB to copy out a graph, if there is no simpler way I'll just have to recommend that they use Print Screen and then cut the picture of the graph out of the picture and paste it into whatever application they need it in :S.

Thanks,
James

If I need a report in a powerpoint presentation I usually take a screenshot using Ctrl and Print Scrn. This can then be pasted into powerpoint as an image and like any image can be cropped or resized.

That seems to be the easiest way. I found some old boards on this site with advice, but its mostly out of date. The complicated Miscrosoft way seems to be the only way to fully export a graph report :(.

I'll just stick to print screening and image croping.

The M$ way usually involves retaining a link between the applications and this can easily get corrupted if someone changes the data or somehow breaks the link.

Does anyone know if the exporting ability of Access has been improved in the 2007 version? My company JUST upgraded to 2002, so It'll be another 20 years before they update to 2007, I'm just curious.

Honestly haven't played with it yet. Too busy, will have to get to it soon.
