I do it all the time. So there must be something else....
What >exactly< does the error message say?
1. Does your database have all its tables internal, or do you have external
links to other data sources?
2. Since you have user-level security, you are probably using a shortcut to
open the database and the workgroup file. Be sure to review the CmdLine in
the shortcut to confirm that it:
a) references MSACCESS.exe on the local disk
b) references the proper mdb
c) references the proper mdw
3. When you attempt to use your backup copy, then you need a different
shortcut that points to the backup copies.
