re: import dbf into access

Good chance I'm just plain ignorant, but the only way I could do it
(doesn't mean it's the only way) was to link to the DBF file and then
create an append/maketable query to get just the fields I wanted and
then to run it. That's ONE way... did you need to process a whole lot
of these?

If you go through the regular import process (File/Get External Data/Import)
you get a little wizard that walks you through the process; you can specify
which fields to import and what type they are, etc.

import spec and save it and you're good to go in the future...
