Access 97 Problem with hyper links

I am doing some experimenting with online databases for my website. I
am using ColdFusion as my application server. I have a db setup with
two tables on titled "world" and the other name "other." Each table
has three columns, named title, link, description. My problem is that
Access is turning the contents of the "link" column cells in to
hyperlinks right in Access. This is messing up the output to the
application server and the web. My other table isn't doing this. Any
help would be much appreciated.
