Animatated GIF won't animate 2nd time

Access97 using the Gif89 Class
I have an animated gif that becomes animatated during a long running
routine. The gif becomes visible and animates when I click the command
button.
The gif does become visible but fails to animate if I click the button
a second time after the routine has previously run.

Can this be fixed?
