This is an easy question, but I 've never done it before. How do I zip an
Access database? I'm using Access 2002 on a standalone computer with XP?

re: How do I zip an Access database?

Robert,
You already have your answer so I won't bother to repeat it.
http://www.winzip.com is a popular Windows zip utility.
http://www.pkzip.com has the current version of the first dos zip utility.
http://www.aladdinsys.com has Stuffit, which works on both Windows and Mac,
if you have Mac people you deal with.
All of them will zip your database rather nicely.

As others have said...

But don't do it while it's open.
