Hello

I'm new with Access and I have this problem.

I created a database with a table that load his data from a txt file
and all works good

I have 76 records and it is well fetched in my database and when I
display it all is good.

Now in my macro... I added a SQL code that delete all the records in
the table before loading the new data.
There is 76 records but it tell me that it want to delete 152 records.
But I displayed the table data before and a saw only my 76 records.

Then I created a VB sub that count my records in my table and it said
152 !!
This his the double than what I see in my table and in my txt file !?

So please can you tell me what is the problem ?

Thank you very much
Jiador

Perhaps you imported your data twice?
Did you look again in your table AFTER it reported the larger number of
records?

This troll-spew was posted from the semi-anonymous news server "teranews",
known to be used by Don P Mellon.

This, too, was posted from the semi-anonymous news server "teranews", known
to be used by Don P Mellon. And, of course, if it were, perchance, Don P
Mellon posting under the pseudonym of "Karl Luft", we'd expect him to defend
himself.

And, too, this one uses a "hotmail" e-mail address, also known to be
commonly, but not exclusively, used for Don P Mellon's pseudonyms.

You're an absolute genius, Larry. But why are you wasting your time trying
to do database work? You ought to be working for the FBI or maybe the CIA.
The intelligence community needs your talents!

Teranews +Karl Luft+HotMail=Don P Mellon

God, that's brilliant!

Sandy

To Whoever--

Not a very nice reply. But reality is not nice sometimes.

(Suggestion: Stop watching Lou Dobbs MoneyLine!)

How about Teranews + Hotmail + Sandy = Teranews + Hotmail + Karl Luft? You
never give up, do you?

The posts by "Sandy McMullen" also were from teranews with a return address
at hotmail, the very same combination known to have been used in the past by
Don P Mellon.

re: Please help me with access

No it's not that,
I already tried it thank you :-)

Somebody on another group told me than there can be problem with
access when we do sql things like I did.
He told me to do my things in a Access query and to run it from a
macro and it work very well :-)

So the case is cleared :-)

The referenced post was from the semi-anonymous news server teranews and
used a return address of hotmail, both known to be commonly used by Don P
Mellon.

Interestingly, this post echoes the feeling of many, including myself, about
the anonymous and semi-anonymous poster(s). In fact, someone, not long ago
in this newsgroup, expressed puzzlement at why anyone would go to such
effort to make [him|her|it]self despised by everyone else here -- I think
"Sandra" may have provided one possible answer.
