New to PHP

Hi,

I am new one to exploit XAMPP. I think,it's a childish
question.

I have installed XAMPP in my system. Now i want to run
mysql in my command prompt.
For this i don't know the procedure and also i don't know what to give
in htdocs file. Kindly help me to do further steps.
