Well if the engine you want to store stuff in is too small like one of
those little one piston chainsaw motors then you are pretty limited by
how much stuff you can store in it. Now if you went for something
like a Hemi from a pickup truck (or better yet a semi truck engine),
you can certainly store a lot of stuff in those engines, but then you
have to figure out where to put them (they are very heavy.
Then again this is a PHP group and what a silly subject of storage
stuff in engines.
Seriously, the best "storage engine" I can think of is a piece of
paper. because when the power goes down you can still access
information from it (unless there is insufficient light, then you will
have to use another sheet of storage, to generate the light necessary
to retrieve the data from the sheet in question - mutli-purposed, what
can be better) Has no problem with text, graphics, any foreign
symbol, can even store colors. Can be indexed in a wide variety of
ways, and new uses are still being developed. Can describe complex
ideas, can be made into a variety of objects such as airplanes and
cranes. Yep. Paper.
