PHP Affiliate script

I'm trying to help a friend who has a website where he sells a single product.
He wants to have an affiliate program that would pay a single level
commisssion on each sale thru PayPal..

Does anyone know of an existing simple php affiliate script out there
somewhere? I've looked in all the places I know and can't find one.
