Default Tools to repair a corrupt Access database

Hi

I have a small MS Access database - it's actually an eBay Turbo Lister
file - that I can no longer access because it won't accept my password.

This has happened since the application crashed some time ago. I know
what the password should be but the application won't allow access.

Are there any tools out there that I can use to repair the file .?

I tried a freeware 'Access password finder' but they couldn't open the
file and/or extract the password - so I hope my original diagnosis that
it is some way corrupt is correct.

All thoughts and advise gratefully received.

Regards

RG

RG,

Sounds like a serious corruption problem, not a password problem to me,
though I am no expert. I'm not sure if you have tried the Microsoft
JetComp.exe program. It's available at:

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...us/jetcu40.exe

it has gotten me out of a few messes when the database got corrupted
beyond what the built in compact and repair could handle. Since then
it's "Backup! Backup! Backup!"

Good luck!

Jim M
