Default Combo Box Question

I have a table for all my combox boxes.

ID: AutoNumber
ComboName: text
ComboValue: text with no duplicates

I have create a query based on this table.

I have also created two forms based on this query.

The main form has a combo box with the name
The subform has the field ComboValue which opens in datasheet view

I have the form requery based on change to the combo box and it works
fine.

Problems:

When I delete from the subform, the combo box get the #deleted# message
and I can no no longer change the combo box value until I close and
open the form.

What I've tried so far:

I tried to make the form requery after deletion and also tried requery
in several different places to try and make it work.

I also tried to make the form close and open after a change. and
variations of requery and close/open the form.

Bottom Line: I need help to create a place for the customer to go and
select the drop down name from a combo box and be able to update the
list that shows below.

I know how to create several combo boxes where they can be updated
based on the query, but that I believe is the hard way.

Thanks.

And also one problem, but I'm sure it will be corrected with your
solution. If I change the first record in the value list it appears in
the rest of the fields. It only happens with the first record and if I
delete it and change the first record again, it does the same.

DisRegard. I figured it out and for anyone interested here was my
solution.

I created two tables one tblDropDownNames (just had the Names of the
Drop Down List set with no duplicates)

I then inserted a subdatasheet based on my other tblDropDownValue which
had the category names beside each Value.

I created a main form based on the tblDropDownName and a subform based
on tblDropDownValue. I then used the combo box wizard and selected I
want the form to be based on the value I select from the combo box.

This made the subform change based on my selection from the combo box.
Now the customer can go to one table and select the combo name and make
changes to the subform datasheet below.

I believe this will be very useful. Thanks taking a look.
