Default Continuous Forms

All,
I need to be able to change a field on a continuous form to vbRed when
it is changed. I can't find out how to do this with the Conditional
Formatting in version 2000. Maybe someone knows how to this with
Conditional Formatting. I am using the following code on the AfterUpdate
event of the field, but the problem it is changing every record/field in
the database, and I only want the current record/field to be changed:

If Me![Text1] = Me![Text1].OldValue Then
Me![Text1].ForeColor = vbBlue
Else
Me![Text1].ForeColor = vbRed
End If

Does anyone know a way to do this?

What I do is set the background to transparent, then behind that control
have another textbox with a controlsource e.g.:

=IIf(<condition>,"gggggggggggg","")

or something like that, you'll have to play with it, but basically what
you want is the block character from the Webdings (or was it WingDings)
font, with the textbox locked, disabled and sent to back it will like a
background (hint: use the control's foreground property). This works in
any version of Access.
