Default OT ish. UK Ltd Company Status. Anybody done it?

I'm looking at setting myself up as a limited company as far as development
work goes. Mainly to insulate my private estate from any business risk.

I'd probably just buy an off the shelf company and use one of the firms that
offers Company Secretary services, so I would be sole director.

Anybody done it? Any problems, pros and cons? Any reccomendations for firms
that offer the services I mentioned?

Cheers, Mike MacSween

I'd also suggest asking in a consulting newsgroup. Or see if such exists for UK.
