Default Color coding in 1x1 BMP in OLE field

Hi!

I'm currently trying to create a 1x1 Pixel BMP
in an OLE field of my mdb. To see how the color
is coded in that data, I created several records
with some characteristic colors of my pixel (using
Paint) and dumped the resulting OLE data.

Comparing the data of the various bitmap showed me
that there are only 2x2 bytes differing (offset
0x3F/0x40 and 0x92/0x93).

Ok by now.

Looking at the data in these four bytes where
just one of the basic colors (red, green, blue)
is unequal 0 seems to be easy to understand.
But when I use two or all of them, I cannot figure
out the rule.

The relevant results of the analyzed data is
contained in
http://www.softconcept.at/Pauli/BitmapInOLEField.xls .

Maybe you can take a look at it and have a guess?

Thank you,
Paul
