Resizing Images then saving

Using Access2000, I would like to resize an image then save it to a
new file with the resized size.

I'm taking pictures (JPGs) with my digitial set at 3.2 megs. I've
figured out how to get my access program to find the pictures and show
them as thumbnails so I can add a description and notes. I then
rename and save these pictures to a different location and add a
record to a table with the new file name and location. But the
picture size is still 3.2 megs. Is there a way to change the size of
the file (Not the image in Access) while I'm renaming and saving it to
a different location. I would like to take the 3.2meg (1076X667)
picture and resize it to 77.5 KB (640X480)

I think you'll have a lot better luck manipulating images in a program
intended for that purpose than trying to do so in Access. There are many,
from freeware to expensive commercial ones, and I wouldn't presume to
recommend any particular one.
