Default How do you create 2 key fields?

Hi,

Never used databases before. Just started about 30 mins ago. I'm following
this walkthrough in order to create a database, but on one table I am
supposed to to have 2 key fields. But it doesn't seem to allow me to do
this. It's Acess 2000. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you mean a primary key made up of 2 fields? In table design highlight two
fields by ctrl-clicking to the left hand side of them. Then click the key
icon on the toolbar. Viola! 'Tis done.

While in table design view, select one of the two fields and then hold the
control key down while selecting the second one. Now both fields are
highlighted and you can press the "Key" button in the toolbar to create a
composite Primary Key consisting of both fields.

Pssst...think of a better on line name. Posting a question about a multi
field key really isn't THAT interesting <g>
