Default Access 97 on Win 2000

I have a client who recently upgraded some machines from Win 95 to Win 2000 and
is running an Access 97 database with linked jpg's. On some machines they
cannot view or open the jpg - the error is "The operation on the html document
object failed. The ole server may not be registered. To register the ole
server reinstall it". The default viewer for jpg's on the machine is MS
PhotoEd. Nevertheless the message refers to an html document - they cannot
even see an icon, which sometimes is the case if the default viewer is
incorrect. When installing Office 97, they got an error message: "olemsg.dll
failed to register". I don't seem to have that dll on my (win 98) machine at
all.

Does anyone have any ideas?? Cannot find much on the MS tech site.

Many thanks in advance!

Ondine.

A google groups search on olemsg.dll gives quite a few hits about it failing
to register. Some of those might shed some light.
