Default JavaScript Request Tracking

Is it possible to track the start and end of each http(s) request made
by the browser via JavaScript? In other words, can I determine when
each image, css, js, redirects, and other request are made and when
they finish? What I would like to do is to time each request
(including redirects) needed to build a page via javascript. Any one
have any ideas along those lines?
