Default help new at this

i have had this pc. for a few months it came with a three month to
norton antivirus which i installed which has run out so i buy the
norton 2006, and install it now all i get is this message to activate
it . o.k. so i do and it don`t... it keeps giving me notron not
responding????? this has been going on for days...also i have a
outbreak threat?? and it won`t let me push the button to protect me
now??? what`s up how do i fix this??? i called the "norton install
experts" can not get thru???
