Hi,

Well, you use IE, so anything can be wrong.
I have seen so many bugs in IE, many only surface after installing
softwarepackages that seem unrelated to IE.

The reason is MS decided in their unending wisdom to hook up IE heavily into
the OS. That is a designmistake IMHO.

Solution:
One thing that always works for me after IE goes bugging:
1) Go to Microsoft, and search for the IE servicepack for your OS.
2) Download.
3) Install.
--> The installer will tell you it is already installed and recommends to
NOT install the servicepack.
As often with MS, this advise is wrong. Just reinstall it.
4) (!) Important, before doing anything else, go to the windowsupdatesite,
and install all bugfixes (called 'hotfix' in MS-jargon. MS don't make
mistakes, so no bugs, hence the name 'hotfix'.)

Remember that after installing the IE_servicepack, your IE is back in time a
few years, and all hundreds securityholes are wide open. Do not visit any
other site than windowsupdate untill it finishes.

You need to reboot a few times probably. Do that, and revisit the
windowsupdatesite untill it has not more hotfixes.

The above procedure has always fixed my IE/OS flaws, and is a lot easier
than reinstalling the whole OS.

Good luck.
