Default Mentor Needed (tjjay)

While attempting to learn JavaScript on an amateur web site I've come
across a common programming problem.

I've planned to have an external JS file where I have my menus.

When I open this learning page, my browser renders zilch. I think I've
got my syntax problems resolved, but now I get NOTHING. No debug
suggestions, NOTHING.

I'm kind of at the end of the extent of my limited JavaScript
knowledge. Is there anyone in this newsgroup that might take me under
their wing? I need constructive assistance.

The URL: http://www.geocities.com/tjjay/R/new_page_3.htm

Thanks in advance for help.
