The unordered lists for movies and books in the left nav bar look fine
in IE, but are spaced significantly away from the .sidetitle border in
Firefox 0.8 and in DreamWeaver's preview. I've tried all sorts of
combinations of padding and margins, I've looked in DreamWeaver's
"Relevant CSS" inspector, and I just can't figure out where that space
is coming from.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is there some sort of tool that would show
me a page with the box model visible, sort of like the example graphics
at www.positioniseverything.net?

Not sure what you mean by showing a page with the box model
visible, but you could add *{border:1px solid red;} to your
stylesheet?

I was talking about something like:

But yeah, at least showing borders will help, because then everything in
between is either the padding of one box or the margin of the one inside
it.. good idea. And apparently there's a web-developer extension to
Firefox that'll do the same thing.
