Default div layers: absolute relative -- and growing?

i have 2 problems with designing a rather big CSS driven site template:

* how do i create absolute layers (DIV), that are positioned relative to
each other?

meaning: how can i create absolute positioned layers that would "grow"
if the content grows, moving the other DIVs also?

thanks,
matthias

specify their dimensions in em units, so it will expand/contract
according to the user's chosen font-size. Is that what you meant?

You are asking for a solution when you haven't really defined the
problem. Perhaps absolute positioning isn't necessary at all. It's
hard to tell without more details. What are you trying to accomplish?
