Default How to set up a forum?

Hi,

I have a web site, not professional or commercial one. All the pages
are in simple html code. I like to set up a forum on the site, so
visitors can discuss various topics. Can anyone tell me how or where
to start? Thanks.

Yes, and an HTML newsgroup is not a good place to start. Try one for
server side processing. You'll either need to write the software
yourself, or someone may know of some existing software you can buy or
download to use. You'll also need some kind of database set up, but
that is also out of the scope of an HTML newsgroup.

For minimal effort (no server-side programming), setting up a forum
and/or member-only section is really easy using our web hosting services.
You do have maximum control of the look and feel of your forum(s) and web
site...

You don't have to write any code. There are a number of off the shelf
CGI scripts available. Some are free. You will have to figure out
how to install one on your web host's server, and configure it. Your
web host may recommend a package, or Google, or:

Good luck.
