Default PRE-Tag with double-linespace?

Hi,

when inserting a normal text with linebreaks, posted through a form, into a
<PRE></PRE> tag, the linebreaks seem to be doubled.

Is that normal? can you avoid it?

thanks

Oliver

It's not normal. 'View-source' to see what you are actually generating, or
post a URL and perhaps somebody will be able to help.

Sounds like at some point a Windows-style two-character newline got
converted into two Unix-style one-chararacter newlines, perhaps due to
a buggy form handler. You'll need to give us more details - URL?
