How to include an HTML doc in another HTML doc
Problem: to insert the body section of an HTML doc in another HTML document
at a specific location.
One possible way is to add a WebCharm tag like this:
<%@charm:html 20 0 my_services.htm %>
When the HTML template is processed by a WebCharm-aware web server, the
content (everything between <BODY> </BODY> tag) of my_services.htm is
inserted at the tag location.
This tag is an alternative to the @charm:text tag. It is specialized for including
another HTML document so that a well formed HTML document can
be generated from the template. It allows the include HTML document to be
perserved in its' original form so that it may be viewed and/or modified normally.
Visit edgesoft.ca web site for more information on WebCharm template and tags.
In particular, www.edgesoft.ca/go/index.html?top=wc

How so? I am providing a how-to series to solve specific problems relating
to authoring HTML. The material is meant to be informative and open people
to new ideas.

Hmm. I'm experiencing déjà vu. Or déjà spammed.

What are you arguing about? You posted the same message twice.

I don't care how you try to spin it. You posted the same message in
less than 1 day. The message is promoting some commercial product.
That makes it look like spam. And the last bit -- "material...meant
to be informative and open people to new ideas" -- well that's just
insulting our intelligence.

Same message, twice?
How does including an external file (any file) vs. external HTML be
considered the same? If you use #include on an HTML doc, you
would get a malformed (eventhough some browsers are more forgiving)
generated result right?

No insults intended. I am promoting the use of the product. Not so that
you will buy it. The product is best made available through ISPs. In which
it will cost web authors and designers next to nothing to use it.

Yep, he's trying to promote the same thing in alt.html.webedit under the
guise of solving a minor authoring question. Now I'm convinced it is spam.

Sorry, it was alt.html, not the webedit subgroup.

bts, I really appreciated your help with the site review, but now you (and others)
are singling me out as spam? Don't you have better things to do?

Yes, I was just thinking a minute ago about your request for site
critique. Was it another subtle spam? 'Twas odd that you post a request
for review of your site, then within hours promote the site as a non-free
solution to a couple of requests for help.

No, it was a genuine request. Your critique was on a second revision of our web
site. The first release was on Oct 13th and it bombed badly. You can google
comp.lang.smalltalk for the posts if you are interested.
Our product is brand new and we are anxious to get the words out. It is so
hard to be heard these days.
