Default Collecting DB2 performance results for my thesis paper

As part of my thesis for my MSc Course with the Open University UK, I
need to collect various performance statics for IBM's DB2 database on
Windows.

To this end I have developed a performance test script (DB2 pl/sql)
and questionnaire to poll the DB2 database community; to see the
viability in developing a generic relational database performance
benchmark; that can be used during the database design phase of a
project.

The idea of this benchmark is to develop a heuristic (rule of thumb)
benchmark to answer the ‘What if’ type of performance questions. E.g.
how much does performance degrade for load/import etc when adding one/
two or even three indexes etc. Then to see if this type of information
can help improve the database design phase of a project.

For this to provide any meaningful results I need to gather a large
number of performance statics for as many DB2 databases as possible.

Therefore if you could visit my site at http://ericdavidsonca.bravehost.com/index.html
, download the performance script and fill in the questionnaire it
would help me immensely.

I will be providing a copy of my thesis next June to all participants
who wish to receive a copy.

Thank you.
