Using linux on windows machine is posted in the Windows forum, but may well benefit from some Linux experience if anyone wishes to contribute.

I think AmbrNewLearner brought the subject up in the Experts area, I just pushed the right buttons (Didn't even need to wield any mighty Admin powers :D).
