Default Active directory user display name incorrect!

I recently changed 3 Users (login, first, last name, and job position) on our active directory. This was about a week ago.. they all can login fine, but when lets say the first user opens a file and any other user opens it it will say file in use by "joey". Problem is joey doesnt exsist anymore, his account is disabled and really it should be the user named "janis" and this is one of the 3 users that i changed.

So its incorrectly listing a wrong user thats opened the file. Has anyone seen a problem like this before?

Hi

Windows still assume that the file is opened - probably joey left it opened.

You might try copying the file with another name or rename the file itself and then try opening it.

See if this helps
