Default active directory template - include description

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to "force" active directory to include the description field when copying an active directory account to add a new user?

Could you explain what you mean by "copying an active directory account ..."

are you trying to move a user account here and there in AD?
Or there is something else you are trying

I need to add a group of students and want the description field to be populated. when I copy another user to create the new user, it does not populate this field.
