Hi all,
I have found a site from which I would like to download some children's educational movies and I think they are on flash format.

I know there are program that let you register what is shown on the screen but I would'n like to use the pc during the registration and, assumed that there are 21 episodes and I use the pc for work....I would prefer to download them directly.
I have already tried whit some software like Flash, FlashFavorite, Flash Saver, HiDownload, Keepvid, Orbit Downloader, Realplayer, Sothink SWF quicker and SWF Decompyler, VLC.
I have tried too with firefox's plugins like dowint.NET, Downloadhelper, Fast Video Download, Ook? Video Ook!, UnPlug or by Tools > Page Info > Media Tab but I obtained poor results: the best I obtained was to download the swf file in flash but nothing about the video.
Anyone of you has an idea about downloading these videos?

The site uses RTMP to stream Flash video (FLV). RTMP is a proprietary protocol from Adobe - that's why the videos are so hard to download. The only download managers that have support for RTMP are Orbit Downloader and Net Transport - at least according to Wikipedia .

You said you already tried Orbit Downloader, but I used it and it worked fine for the full episodes. The intro on the site is corrupted so it downloads poorly. Also Net Transport is a shareware program that didn't work as well as Orbit.

Follow these directions to download the videos. Make sure the video is PLAYING in the SWF otherwise it won't download correctly. You might have to play around with when to start the download and when to start playing the video in order to download the full video. I first started the download then played the video to get the best results.

To playback the FLV I recommend MPlayer GUI. VLC has problems playing these videos back.

Too bad I can't speak Italian because this show is crazy.

EDIT: By the way the Grab++ feature is key to downloading the videos. If you want to convert the videos I recommend using WinFF.
