Systems Resources supports all corporate business areas by utilizing the latest hardware, software and technology solutions to provide well designed, cost effective, quality applications in support of corporate objectives and operations. The infrastructure includes mainframe and server-based platforms that require secured internal and remote access. Systems are developed in various computer languages for client/server, mainframe, intranet and Internet applications. In order to support an IT environment of this magnitude, sophisticated tools and technology are used, with an emphasis on quality assurance, scalability, portability, high availability and timely response. General Responsibilities
The incumbent participates in the coordination of projects for systems development to provide solutions to corporate data processing and information needs. The incumbent gathers requirements, designs, codes and implements new software systems, as well as supports and enhances existing systems. This position is responsible for meeting the needs of internal customers by completing their systems requests in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner. Qualifications
1. Two or more years of programming experience
2. Working knowledge of COBOL, DB2 and JCL on an IBM MVS mainframe
3. Experience analyzing customer needs, designing new or modifying existing systems
4. Experience in a position interpreting and communicating information orally and written
5. Experience in a customer contact position communicating information
6. Experience in a position requiring the ability to identify and solve problems
7. Experience in a position requiring the ability to organize and prioritize tasks
8. Experience in a position interacting with all levels of staff internal and external
9. Customer Information Control System (CICS) experience is desired
10. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) experience is beneficial
11. Experience with DB2 tools (i.e. QMF and SPUFI) is preferred Work Schedule
The hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Conditions of Employment
