Default Access 2003 and 2007 coexisting

I've just installed Office 2007 and am coming to terms with the
drastically different menu structure!

One problem I have is alternating between different version of Office
applications and getting that bl...dy paint in the ...."wait while
Office is configured " message.

There is a registry fix for Word I found at
http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com/2...03-coexisting/

So I'm wondering if there is an equivalent registry fix for access?

There is no equivalent registry setting for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Options
on my pc, can I just create one?

thanks

Grant

Not that I'm aware of. Office 2007 SP1 shortens that wait substantially.

I was going to suggest the same as Tony. SP1 mentioned the wait time was
decreased when switching between versions.

Fortunately, I rarely use access 97 now, and only in support of old versions
of my software.

Good luck!

Andy

On my system it went from one minute to 15 seconds IIRC.

I only noticed this betweeen A2003 and A2007. I haven't installed A97 on my systems
these last few years. Just the A97 help.

Thanks for the comments. I've just installed SP1 so I'll see how I go
