Learn Field Length

How can I learn the format and the maximum character length of the field.

For ex:
ZIP code have only numerics.

it depends on what you are talking about. If its database there are max and min entry lengths and data types that you can view in the database.

Please clarify you question and i'll be able to help you out more.

Yes it depends on your system's requirement, suppose you are creating the system that will be used by foreign countries then you should use the format according to their country like 5 digits and cell phone is of 12 digits.....
