Default Clients with IP out of DHCP Scope

Friends, as i raised this issue earlier but i couldn't get any answer. Well i have a very small LAN in my office with a server (Windows Server 2003). I have configured my server with DHCP. I have two NICs in the server computer, one configured for my internal LAN and another for internet from ISP. The second adapter was added recently.

Well, my problem is that the DHCP was working fine until i added the second NIC. Now my clients receive DHCP assigned IP but the addresses are out of the scope i defined. I dont know from where the clients get that ip assigned. Afterall no other computers are DHCP configured in my LAN. So, please help me to solve this issue.

Hi! If I remember well, You said the DHCP NIC IP is 192.168.0.1.

Try to assign this address to your clients as the first DNS and then repair the connection on clients side.

Hello Raaman,
As i mentioned earlier, the problem is could be your DHCP server is offering service on other interface. Even we had such a problem in our peoduct but,it is not Windows OS.., So we given a fix, by using that admin could configure that where DCHP server has to offer service.

If you go throw Windows DHCP server adminstartion and ISC's guide., i think you can find out someway.

is not possible to configure DHCP server apart from default gateway?..., if so , it think you problem is solved.

Regards,
Arul
