Want Help related to login page

Hi I am developing a site using PHP and mysql . I am really new to it.Now I have a problem that I have build up a login page . Before accessing any of the web pages on my site first user should login . But I fail to understand how to make this possible that before calling any page first the user must login.
Please Help Me , and Thanks for any help in advance.

There must be a home page with login option.

Any user must be able to access that page of the site.

After login the user can be redirected to other important pages.

Hi,
Make your login page as startup page of your application and put there login name as well as password, only after verified, redirect the user to the specified page.....
